About Us
Rod and Linda Spronk, owners and operators of Kwik Kerb® by Spronk, specialize in a continuous decorative concrete edging, a technique of contouring a garden and separating it from the lawn. The Kwik Kerb® Edgemaster® machine is used to extrude concrete into a particular form or shape that is used as a border.
Kwik Kerb® edging - or concrete edging is used as an alternative to a plastic edging that is used in a variety of ways. Some examples are around gardens, around your home and tree rings. It can also be used around mailboxes and utility box areas where you can plant flowers, etc., instead of having weeds.
The concrete edging is extremely durable. This edging also helps to retain your mulch, rocks and your soil in your garden or shrub beds.
Each concrete border has a 7" (seven) inch wide base and is available in six curbing shapes or profiles. A large variety of colors is also available ranging from grays to blues, reds to tans to compliment any home or landscape.
It usually takes a day or two to complete a job, depending upon the amount of feet to be laid out. First, after the homeowner and Kwik Kerb® operators decide upon a color and profile as well as the layout for the curbing, the sod is removed with a sodcutter. Then a cement mix in a semi-solid form is poured on site. Finally, a colored slurry mixture is poured over the cement and then hand-stamped with a pattern. A UV sealer is also applied after finishing. This gives it even more durability and helps prevent the color from fading.
The end result is gorgeous! It beautifies your landscape and adds value to your home and at the same time makes taking care of your lawn and gardens much easier.
